On January 11, the Pennsylvania State Grange hosted a roundtable of experts, including PTA President Steve Samara, on the current state and future of broadband in rural Pennsylvania at the Farm Show Building in Harrisburg. Above is the video of that discussion courtesy of the House Republican Caucus, which streamed it over the Internet. The Pennsylvania Cable Network later broadcast the event. Other speakers included State Rep. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), who with State Rep. Pam Snyder (D-Greene), has introduced a package of broadband bills; Wayne Campbell, President of the Grange; Vince Phillips, Legislative Director for the Grange; Mark Smith, Director of Broadband Initiatives for Governor Tom Wolf; Mark Critz, Executive Director of the Governor’s Rural Development Council; Regina Matz, Esq., representing PUC Commissioner Dave Sweet; Bev Gruber, representing the PA Campgrounds Association.
